An enchanted interactive experience from Bohème, the thrift boutique two blocks away. Quests through a glowing grove, a blacklight zombie forest, a frog bog, a mermaid lagoon, a witch's cottage and a wood full of wisps. Spooky, not scary. Glitter strongly encouraged.

Every land holds a task for each side. At the door you get a quest card and a pin for your team: fairy, frog, witch or zombie. Four questions and the house will sort you. Then post the card.

You go in under moss and sticks at the corner of 3rd and E. You come out through the shop. In between, the Fairy Queen and the Frog Wizard run the place on the wishes you tie to the tree.

Grass underfoot, a tree hung with wishes, mushrooms taller than you. Strap on the LED wings. This is where the house gets its power.

Fog, blacklight, dripping neon vines and a fly trap that eats visitors. Diva Diana died here and never left. You will glow.

The bewitched frogs keep the whole forest up. Lift the lily pads for clues, find the one in the witch's hat, and don't wake the sleepers.

A waterfall, crystals lit from below, Bohème bubbles every half hour, and a pink skeleton mermaid throwing a party you're about to crash.

A cauldron of fortunes, a cabinet you can smell, spell books, tarot on the table. Brew by day. Get your cards read by night.

A storm brought the spirits here. Crystals, wind in the chiffon, whispering flowers, and a ghost you can step inside. The quiet land before the shop.
0 wishes tied on. The Fairy Queen and the Frog Wizard are at full power.
Counted by the door crew each night.
$4 at the door for the experience, credited to any $8 purchase in the shop. The shop itself is free to walk into. Evenings are ticketed and include everything.

Every October, Davis fills with zombies. This year they keep drifting toward one corner of downtown.
We cannot explain it. Since the lights went on at 300 E Street, the Zombie Bike Parade reports its horde gravitating downtown earlier than usual, and the costumed creatures of Halloweekend keep finding our door. Our best guess is that the old bank sits on something older. The first victim is still in the forest. Her name is Diva Diana; she got infected, came back, and now she keeps the room, styled by Bohème. Something hums at night in the spirit woods. The mermaid has been seen smiling.
If you are a zombie, the blacklight forest was built for you. If you are a witch, you will feel at home. If you are on a bicycle, the parade starts at Community Park on Saturday, October 31, and we are open until 6:30 when you ride back downtown.
Riding is the centerpiece, not required. Money raised builds custom trikes for children with disabilities through NorCal Trykers. Bohème Bewitched is on the Halloweekend calendar.

Pinktober
Thriving Pink is Yolo County's own breast cancer support nonprofit: volunteer-run, ten years old this year, and the reason nobody here has to face a diagnosis alone. Every October, during their Pinktober, Bohème stands with them.
Since 2016 they have awarded more than $431,000 in direct grants to local people in treatment, run more than 500 workshops and support offerings, and built Pink Peers, mentors and a Spanish-language ProspeROSA program.
Wear pink to the woods. Pink wings, pink wigs, a pink witch hat; every fairy, frog, witch and zombie is welcome in pink this month.

Check people in, hand out quest cards, run bags, watch the exits, be delightful. Every two-hour shift earns a 15% Bohème discount coupon. Clubs, Greek life and nonprofits welcome.
Bohème Bewitched is self-funded and built with the community. Nonprofits can set up outside the exit; clubs and performers can pitch a set for an evening, or for 2027.
"It's not haunted. It's enchanted. It's magical."
Yelena Ivashchenko, owner of Bohème, to Comings & Goings
Bohème opened at 409 3rd Street in 2012, when Dawn Donahue decided Davis needed a buy-sell-trade clothing store. Yelena Ivashchenko, a local artisan who makes much of what she sells, took it over in 2015 and runs it with her partner Brett Maresca. Most things cost $2 to $12, most of it comes out of Davis closets, and the Aggie has called it the best thrift store in town. Bohème Bewitched is that shop at the scale of a building: a Halloween world made by hand, mostly out of things that already existed.
Boutique quality at thrift store prices. Buy, sell, trade. Since 2012.
